The LinkedIn in present day context is considered to be a motivating force for all business and professionals across the globe with a total membership of 135,000,000, including executives from the Fortune 500 major industries and from leading companies. The master brain behind the inception of LinkedIn application is Reid Hoffman, a graduate from oxford and Stanford is the key person behind in streamlining LinkedIn application with the support of Pay pal in the year 2002. The author Hung Lee in his book titled, “LinkedIn business” has emphasized the significance and implications of LinkedIn towards business organizations in a vibrant competitive business environment. In this book the author has showcased the usage of LinkedIn application for business by all means like starting from inception of account opening to customer interaction.
The LinkedIn account can be inducted and segregated in three forms like business account, business plus account and executive account. These accounts enables business organizations to view the profiles of professionals around the globe, view full lists of people who have viewed companies account and even accessibility to premium search filters. The next aspect mainly emphasizes on framing of business page for the respective organization, where the companies are suppose to fill relevant details of the company as per the requisites like inception of company details to company description.
The LinkedIn account also acquaints the facility of page optimization. Under this process the companies are acquainted to rank its website by instruments like search engine optimization. Here the search engine optimization enables the companies to rank respective websites depending upon certain criteria, and enables the service of back links to respective webpage, and even extract traffic towards company websites with the help of applications like „Word press‟ and „Blog link‟.
The LinkedIn also acquaints the facility of providing the service application business tools like product addition to data analytics. In addition to this LinkedIn also posses the facility of accomplishment of job recruitment process, building of contacts by the help of networking process and brand building. LinkedIn has enabled easier way of accomplishing objectives leading to acceleration of growth in achieving the benchmarks. It also enables the firms to emphasize and build brands by amalgamating the tools like displaying ads, social ads, and the facility of availing sponsorships in order to gratify objectives and growth of the business in future course of action.
In the context of LinkedIn the business firms are able to view their sales figures, total number of viewer ships, general trends of advertisements present in the market and even it equips the business firms to compare the actual sales figures with the help of tools like market research. The application also acquaints the business firms to interact with its customers by assistance of interest groups, and moreover the business firms are able to conduct discussions, polls, enhancing of members, and even enriching of promotions generating to accelerating of jobs.
On the contrary it can be concluded that this book „Linked In business‟ by Hung Lee is considered to be one of the most powerful and persuading tool for every form of business whether it belongs to small scale or large scale. Here the author has clearly depicted various phases of LinkedIn application enabling the business firms to accelerate its growth by sales, customer interaction, social ads, promotion, and leading to the recruitment process. LinkedIn in the present context is being considered a magical wand for business in present day‟s scenario for enhancing the customer base and even possessing credibility in terms of service, in order to achieve bench marks in future course of action.
